The Forest of Tears was the southern region of Chios, Greece.

The region was best known for its mastic farms; the trees used in the production of the resin also gave the whole region its name, for the trees 'wept' the resin out, and it was even called tears of Chios.

During the Peloponnesian War the misthios Kassandra explored the forest.
