The Petrified Temple was an Isu temple[1] located within the Dread Ruins on the island of Lesbos, Greece. It was home to Medusa, a legendary creature in Greek mythology.
During the 5th century BCE, the Spartan misthios Kassandra entered the Temple, and fought and slew Medusa, seizing its relic.[2]
