No Good Deed was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.
Outcome
Kassandra was tasked by Persephone to spy on Hekate at Iphigenia's Compound. It turned out Hekate was using Kassandra and wanted to blame her for everything. Hekate was also trying to gain control of Elysium for herself and revealed that the collar of Ros was the key to the underworld.
Eventually Persephone either sided with Hekate or Kassandra, based upon choices made during previous memories.
Trivia
- This quest references previous choices made in Hekate's quest line. Some decisions made will either help or hurt Kassandra's argument against Hekate:
- Good News – Instructing Isadore sing Hekate's praises as an ally of the humans will be used against Hekate
- Have Another Drink – Destroying Lethe's water during Have Another Drink helps Kassandra's argument
- Breaking into the sanctuary during Sudden and New and poisoning the symposium during Popular are always brought up. How they help or hurt is uncertain, but Persephone appears to blame both the break-in and the poisoning—or attempt thereof—on Hekate, as she is the only one with the key and the green thumb for aconite, respectively.
- Choosing Wait twice and then Leave when eavesdropping on Hekate and Hermes allows Kassandra to leave with all the information she needs while also reaching Persephone before Hekate. Waiting a third time, or Interrupting at any time, will allow Hekate to escape and reach Persephone first, which will hurt Kassandra's argument.
- The name of the memory references the saying "No good deed goes unpunished".
- It may also be a reference to the song by the Broadway musical Wicked, as there are three other quests in the DLC that have a similar naming scheme, all of which are in Hekate's quest line.
