I wanted to ask you something. Which is... what's your name? This article title is conjecture. Although the article subject is canon, no official name for it has been given. |
The Kephallonia vault is an Isu vault found in Kephallonia, Greece. It once housed Vejovis' dagger.
History
In the fifth century BCE, Ianthe, a member of the Order of the Ancients, attempted incursion in the vault, making only as far as the tomb among the hills of Kephallonia, where the door of the vault was. Ianthe hired the pair of Markos and Cadmus to retrieve the treasure from the vault, giving them a map but stealing it later to lead them where he wanted them.[1]
Cadmus entered the tomb noticing a pile of discarded supplies on a crate near the entrance. As soon as he entered, however, Ianthe and his men sealed him in, rolling a boulder over the entrance. With no other choice, Cadmus took a lit torch and pressed on, finding more torches, as well as ladders already in place and the remains of a campsite, evidence that they'd been here for some time at that point. Eventually, Cadmus came upon a flat wall marked with symbols and notches and figured out that he could place torches in those slots, unlocking it to reveal a dark stone entrance.
The walls became smooth, straight and angular as Cadmus walked through the vault, coming up to a room with a circular podium. A hologram of an Isu woman appeared and adressed Cadmus and an "spectator", saying that she was here to help and that ahead was an item that must be kept safe. She also mentioned a person she called The Connection, saying that his actions would lead to the destruction of all if the Piece of Eden should fall in his hands and urging Cadmus to split the item up and to take the pieces far away. The hologram faded and Cadmus stepped forward to a metal container, unlocking it and revealing a two-sided dagger. Cadmus picked it up, carefully using some material to not directly touch the item before sliding it into his pouch.[1]
The sound of clapping made Cadmus turn to see five men with masks and cloaks behind him, with Ianthe thanking Cadmus while a sixth man hit him over the head, knocking him to the floor and taking the dagger. The group left, smashing a pot filled with oil on their way out, trapping Cadmus behind a wall of flames. Cadmus found another way out, an elevating platform leading to a tunnel that in turn led outside.[1]
