Ivaldi was a dwarf Isu and blacksmith living in Asgard.
Mythology
In Norse mythology, Ivaldi's sons were said to be a group of dwarves that made several key pieces for the gods, including Skíðblaðnir, the ship of Freyr, Draupnir, the ring of Odin, Gungnir, the spear of Odin and golden hair for Sif.[1]
Biography
Ivaldi was imprisoned in Asgard. He had his own forge and kept mostly to himself. He was eventually disturbed by the builder who trespassed on his property. Havi approached him as he needed help containing the lost wolf. Thus he made a cord that cannot be broken.[2]
