Description
A lumber merchant in Chios city hired Kassandra to kill the Leader of Lesbos, who some claimed had been exploiting the island's resources to line his own pockets.
Dialogue
Kassandra traveled to the port of Chios and encountered a lumber merchant named Thais, who offered his wares immediately.
- Thais: Misthios! Can I interest you in some lumber for your ship?
She inspected the lumber and admired the quantity and quality.
- Kassandra: That's a lot of chopped trees... The lumber would be a fine addition to any ship.
- Thais: Everyone knows the finest lumber comes from Chios.
- Thais: But... the maláka in charge of Lesbos keeps trading our product with other city states. He's gaining influence, and we're losing profits.
- Kassandra: Then he's no leader.
- Thais: Exactly. And if we remove the source of the problem, the problem will disappear with it. The people of Lesbos deserve to benefit from its resources.
- Thais: Can I hire you to help?
- (Already killed)
- Kassandra: As the gods would have it, I've already killed that corrupt nation leader.
- Thais: Good. That malákas deserved to die. Take this drachmae as thanks.
