Auxesia was an elderly woman living in Phokis, Greece with her husband, Koragos during the 5th century BCE.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Auxesia considered Koragos to be her soul mate, making both her spirit and her body happy throughout their long time together. However, by the Peloponnesian War, Koragos' vitality had begun to suffer from old age, and this troubled Auxesia, whose appetite for him hadn't lessened.[1]

When she met the Spartan misthios Kassandra who was visiting the Sanctuary, Auxesia admired her, and asked her to help her with her problem. Kassandra agreed, and Auxesia sent her to gather ingredients for an elixir meant to reinvigorate Koragos.[1] Afterwards, Auxesia enjoyed herself at the Lesche of the Knidians.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The name of Auxesia, a character in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, is derived from the Greek word αυξησις (auxesis), which means 'growth, increase'. She shares this name with a minor goddess of spring and fertility in Greek mythology.
