In the year 2012, after the events following the [[Retrieval of the Apple|retrieval of the apple]], [[Desmond Miles]] fell into a coma after stabbing the [[Assassins|Assassin]]-turncoat [[Lucy Stillman]], whilst under the influence of [[Juno]]. Returned to the Animus to sustain him, Desmond "awoke" in the [[Black Room]], an Animi's safe mode. Desmond met the visual representation of [[Animus Project]] Subject 16; [[Clay Kaczmarek]]. A Synch Nexus is the moment achieved when an individual who has begun experiencing the genetic memories of an ancestor concludes their observations, with nothing left to see or experience. This occurs when the descendants next ancestor is born.

In the year 2012, after the events following the retrieval of the apple, Desmond Miles fell into a coma after stabbing the Assassin-turncoat Lucy Stillman, whilst under the influence of Juno.
