Ancient Revelations was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.

Description

With all the Artifacts returned, Kassandra discovered the knowledge kept hidden and a means to seal Atlantis forever.

Dialogue

Kassandra walks over to her father.

• Pythagoras: This is incredible. The knowledge stored here is overwhelming. It will take me years to decipher it all.
• Kassandra: What about sealing Atlantis... Have you found a way to do it?
• Pythagoras: Oh... Yes, yes I think so.
• Kassandra: Well? What is it?
• Pythagoras: The staff, the staff is the key.
• Kassandra: All right. It's time.

Pythagoras considers for a moment.

• Pythagoras: I can't. Not yet.

You're losing control.I don't want to be sealed in.Snap out of it.

• Kassandra: We can't stay here, we don't have the time.
• Pythagoras: There is so much to learn. With this knowledge, we can turn the tide of fate.
• Kassandra: That is not your destiny. You said so yourself. You're losing sight of what's important.

• Kassandra: If the staff is the key to this place, I don't want to get locked in.
• Pythagoras: I can't hand it over yet. There's still so much to see.

Kassandra shakes her head.

• Kassandra: That wasn't the plan.

• Kassandra: Listen to yourself—you've gone mad. You need to accept some knowledge was not meant to be had.
• Pythagoras: Knowledge is power—the only power worth having.
• Kassandra: At what cost?

• Pythagoras: I will not be ordered around or lectured by you.
• Kassandra: It was your plan to seal this place, and I agreed to help.
• Pythagoras: That was before I realized what we could uncover about the First Civilization—the creation of humankind.

Pythagoras walks to the center while looking above in awe.

• Kassandra: We are sealing this place to keep the Cult from using it to enslave humanity. That is bigger than your quest for knowledge.
• Pythagoras: The Cult will be nothing but an insect to swat once the power is ours.

We have to seal this place.I'm taking the staff.

• Kassandra: It's too dangerous to leave this place open, and you know it.
• Pythagoras: You wouldn't understand.
• Kassandra: Your pride will cost us all in the end.
• Pythagoras: It's not about pride.
• Kassandra: What good is knowledge if you curse all of humanity in the process? It's what you wanted to avoid in the first place.
• Kassandra: Sometimes it's better if we find our own path. We are not ready for the power this place offers.

Pythagoras contemplates, then nods his head in agreement.

• Pythagoras: You're right. I cannot save humanity directly, but I can save it from itself.

Pythagoras looks at his staff for the last time, and reaches it out to give to Kassandra.

• Kassandra: This is your burden now. Humanity's fate will be decided by the choices you make.

Kassandra reflects on it while looking at the staff. She nods in comprehension.

• Kassandra: I understand.

She reaches out to take hold of the staff. Pythagoras yanks the staff towards him with Kassandra for her to move closer while holding the staff.

• Pythagoras: Kassandra.
• Pythagoras: Choose wisely.

Kassandra nods then, satisfied, Pythagoras lets go of the staff, and his eyes and mouth suddenly radiates in golden, bright light.

• Kassandra: Give me the staff. You have to—for the sake of everyone.
• Pythagoras: The knowledge contained in here could fix everything for generations to come. I can't just walk away from that.
• Kassandra: What good is knowledge if there's no one around to use it?
• Pythagoras: Leave if you must, but I will not.

Kassandra threatens him.

• Kassandra: I'm not going without the staff.
• Pythagoras: I may be old, but I'm not as weak as I appear.

Pythagoras emanates bright light all over his body, and releases an explosive energy around him. Kassandra moves out of the explosion radius.

• Kassandra: Give up the staff.
• Pythagoras: The knowledge is mine. Mine.

She wounds her father.

• Pythagoras: I will not let you have it.
• Kassandra: I don't have it! I want it destroyed!
• Pythagoras: Liar!

As they fight, Pythagoras expresses his disappointment.

• Pythagoras: Pathetic! You were supposed to be better than this. Bigger than this.
• Kassandra: I will be whatever I want to be.
• Pythagoras: A misthios? A common thug? You are an embarrassment to yourself, and to me.
• Kassandra: Enough!

After many hits and blows, Pythagoras justifies himself.

• Pythagoras: This is my chance to make things right.
• Kassandra: No. It isn't.

Kassandra finally defeats him and Pythagoras kneels down with the staff standing, bloodied and exhausted.

• Kassandra: It's over. Give me the staff.

Kassandra approaches him with a hand held out. Pythagoras stands up in defiance with the support of the staff.

• Pythagoras: You do not deserve the infinite knowledge of our creators.
• Kassandra: That's the point. Nobody does.

Growing impatient, she seized the staff from him. His eyes and mouth suddenly radiates in golden, bright light.

• Pythagoras: No!

The light exhausts from him as though his life is draining away. He begins to fall, but Kassandra lets go of the staff and quickly catches him to gently lay him down. She lets his head rest on her hand and he draws his last breath. She holds his lifeless hands and puts it over his chest before standing up. Kassandra gives him a moment of silence.

She picks up the staff and jumps over to an upright stone slab shaped like a transmitter. She uses the staff to seal Atlantis and it briefly flashes as it activates.

Outcome

After they listened to Aletheia's messages, Pythagoras changed his mind for a while to learn more about the Isu and human origins to eventually acquire their power before Kassandra convinces or forces him to let go of the staff. Pythagoras expires as she acquired the staff and, it being the final piece, used it seal the gateway to Atlantis.
