Added in the dialogue of Jupiter's speech to Desmond, I felt it was needed since Minerva's dialogue was added in her profile.

* Jupiter: Do you hear me, cipher? Can you see me? Ah, there you are. Good.
A strange place, this nexus of time. I am not used to the... calculations. That has always been Minerva's domain.
I see you still have many questions. Who were we? What became of us? What do we desire of you?
You will have your answers. Only listen and I will tell you how.
Both before the end and after, we sought to save the world.
We built vaults within which to work, each dedicated to a different method of salvation.
They were placed underground to avoid the war which raged above, and also as a precaution, should we fail in our efforts.
Each vault's knowledge was transmitted to a single place.
It was our duty... mine, Minerva's and Juno's - to sort and sample all that was collected. We chose those solutions which held the most promise, and devoted ourselves to testing their merits.
Six we tried in succession, each more encouraging than the last. But none worked. And then the world ended.
The earth shook for days. The fires burned for weeks. And when the ash had settled, less than ten thousand of your kind still lived... and far fewer of ours. But we carried on, together. To rebuild. To renew.
Listen. You must go there. To the place where we labored... labored and lost. Take my words. Pass them from your head into your heads. That is how you will open the way. But be warned: much still remains in flux. And I do not know how things will end - either in my time, or yours.

Jupiter, previously known as Tinia, was a member of the First Civilization. Alongside Minerva and Juno, he took charge of the gathering and testing of information within the Grand Temple, in order to circumvent the First Disaster.

He spoke with one First Civilization descendant in 2012, Desmond Miles.

Biography

Grand Temple

"Both before the end and after, we sought to save the world."
―Jupiter.[src]

Upon the outbreak of the Human-First Civilization War, Jupiter was one of those who chose to find a means of preventing the coming disaster.[1]

They built Temples in which to research methods of doing so, and Jupiter, Minerva, and Juno were given the responsibility of sorting and sampling the information. The three convened in the Grand Temple, where all the findings from the Temples were gathered, in order to select and test them.[1]

However, though they found each succeeding method to be more promising, the First Disaster fell upon them, burning the Earth, and wiping out nearly all members of the First Civilization.[1]

In 1499, Minerva mentioned Jupiter in her warning to Desmond Miles, who she addressed through the "prophet" Ezio Auditore da Firenze.[2]

"Take my words. Pass them from your head into your hands. That is how you will open the way."
―Jupiter to Desmond.[src]

In the year 2012, Jupiter spoke with Desmond himself - who he referred to as the "cipher" - in the nexus of time. There, he told him of his work with the Temples, and of the First Disaster.[1]

In order to prevent a repeat of the catastrophe, Jupiter urged Desmond to seek out the Grand Temple, and told him the means of opening the way.[1]

Trivia

 • Jupiter is referred to as Tinia in the artbook of Assassin's Creed: Revelations, and the Revelations novel.
 • Statuettes of both Jupiter and Minerva can be collected in Assassin's Creed II, where Jupiter is described as the "king of all Olympus."
 • Jupiter is the Roman King of the Gods, and is the equivalent of the Greek God Zeus in both characteristics and personality.
 • Jupiter's helmet resembles an eagle, his representative animal in Greco-Roman tradition, and a common symbol of the Assassins.
