Hedone, also known as Voluptas in Roman mythology, is the Greek goddess of pleasure and enjoyment. She is the daughter of Eros and Psyche and is often associated with sensual pleasure.[1]

By the time of the Peloponnesian War, a small cult dedicated to Hedone was founded in Elis, near the Spring of Piera. Every member of this cult renamed themselves to Hedone, including an actor working for Thespis.[2]
