Broken Promises was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.

A hetaera sought the help of a mercenary to enact vengeance on a frugal client.
Dialogue[edit | edit source]
While Kassandra was travelling across Greece, a hetaera caught her attention and motioned her aside.
- Kassandra: Anything a misthios can help you with, stranger?
- Woman: One of my clients gives me nothing but excuses. I cannot live on such wretched offerings. The other hetaerae all receive beautiful gifts.
- Kassandra: It sounds like he's trying to cheat you.
- Woman: I won't stand for that. Here I am, without so much as a necklace or new robe—not even a coin for all his promises. The other girls have started mocking me.
- Kassandra: You need me to deal with him.
- Woman: You understand quickly.
(Accept – "I'm going to help you.")
- Kassandra: I'm in.
- Woman: I'm in your debt.
- Kassandra: You can leave everything to me.
Kassandra tracked down the client, who was in deep conversation with another man near the market, and killed him.
- Kasssandra: Time to collect.
Kassandra returned to the hetaera.
- Woman: Has he been... dealt with, misthios?
- Kassandra: He won't be bothering anyone anymore.
- Woman: You've set great things in motion. Take this as thanks.
- Kassandra: That'll do.
Outcome[edit | edit source]
Kassandra found and assassinated the hetaera's miserly client.
