Pebble
Pebble was a young Messenian boy who lived during the 5th century BCE. He was the son of Rhode, a helot who was forced by the Order of Dominion to construct weapons for their army.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Born in the 420s BCE in the Helot camps of Aipeia, Pebble was the apple of his mother's eye. He made friends with other helot children, and together they came up with 'hero names' for each other. Pebble's was Wolfstorm.[1]
At some point during the Peloponnesian War, Pebble was introduced by his mother to the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who had come to Messenia tracking the Order of Dominion's activities.[1]
Pebble and his friends, as well as Rhode, were escorted by Kassandra to Aipeia's docks. There, their way was blocked by Harpagos, the commander in charge of the Aipeia operations. Threatening the children as well as Rhode, Harpagos fought and was killed by Kassandra, to the delight of Pebble and the other children, who began to call the misthios "Eaglethunder."[1]
At the docks, a ship for the children was waiting, as Rhode had planned. Pebble, however, was reluctant to depart on the ship, as it would mean abandoning his mother and the only life he had ever known.[1]
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
Pebble, a character in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey's DLC Legacy of the First Blade: Bloodline, is repeatedly referred to as a boy, despite the character model used being that of a Greek girl.
If Pebble remains in Aipeia, he will later deliver a letter from Gergis to Kassandra at the end of the memory "The Trap Is Set", initiating the following memory, "The Last Magi".
