Otus

Otus was a human male who was part of a project conducted by the Isu Aita.

Biography

One of four males of eight test subjects used Isu scientist Aita, Otus grew up within an underground testing facility. Like the others he had an own cell that connected to a main room. Having grown up without knowledge of the outside world he had the brain capacity of a child and never leared any people skills. This resulted in him often offending his fellow captives, resulting in him being hit until he was bruised and bloodied.

One day Aita introduced a new assistant who was introduced to his project. This assistant met Otus, who was taller than most Isu, but very fearful, and would hide in his cell when Aita and the assistant came. After gaining progress with Otus, Aita deemed him ready to see the outside world. The assistant and Otus were tasked with buying some adamant. This way, Otus could get used to the outside world and the assistant could study him.

After Otus insulted the merchant he got hit in the face again, resulting in a bloody nose. The assistant tried explaining to him why it happened, but this set off a trigger in his brain. He started getting very interested into violence. The assistant, then not knowing any better, took him to the Arena to watch the fighting.

The once very fearful Otus had turned into an energetic person, asking all kinds of questions about violence and fighting. When they returned to the entrance to the underground testing facility, Otus refused to go back and shoved the assistant down the stairs, knocking them out in the process.

Otus then proceeded and murdered all seven other subjects who hit him in the past, mangling and mutilating their bodies, resulting in blood flowing from each and every cell into the main room. He had left the assistant for dead and fled the scene.

When Aita came back he was furious, but the assistant could immediately see that Aita would never see his own faults, simply expecting him to start over with the same experiment and other subjects.

Legacy

During the Peloponnesian War, the exerpts of information regarding Otus was later recovered by the misthios Kassandra in Aletheia's simulation of Atlantis.
