Kallikleia was a Greek woman who lived during the Peloponnesian War.

Biograpphy[edit | edit source]

During the said war, Kallikleia was one of the woman who attended a gathering in Seriphos organized by Aetios, the scion of a weathly family from Keos. Kallikleia caught the attention of Aetios, who signalled for her to attend the selection ceremony the following day, although she didn't noticed. Desperate for Aetios to choose her, she sought the help of the misthios Kassandra to find a way for her to chosen. Their conversation was later interrupted by a Hekate Witch, who suggested making a love potion for Aetios to fall in love the young lady. The gullible Kallikleia agreed right away, and Kassandra was thus sent to retrieve the ingredients needed for it. While the misthios went to recover the ingredients, Kallikleia and the witched waited at the Temple of Athena.[1]

Once Kassandra had recovered the ingredients, the witch requested one last ingredient, a lock of hair from Kallikleia. The young woman willingly agreed, allowing the witch to make the potion and later drank it. Contrary to what Kallikleia had wanted, the potion instead caused her to start losing her hair, to the extend she became nearly bald. The following night at the ceremony, Kallikleia watched in horror as Aetios picked the witch instead her, given her new appearance. As Kassandra arrived, Kallikleia pleaded for the misthios to help her deal with the witch.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • If Kassandra sided with Kallikleia, she can either kill the witch herself or call for the guards, who would attack the witch with the surrounding civilians.
