Hypnos

Hypnos is the Greek personification of sleep. Son of the siblings Erebus and Nyx, he was the twin brother of Thanatos, with whom he lived in the Underworld.[1]
Biography[edit | edit source]
According to Layla Hassan's Bios of the Gods files, Hypnos' brothers were Charon and Thanatos, and their father was Erebus.[2]
Influence[edit | edit source]
During her travels in Aletheia's simulation of Elysium, the Spartan misthios Kassandra destroyed several torches of Hypnos inside Persephone's strongholds. She also visited a cave dedicated to him within Pheraia's Retreat.[3]

- The Greek word for Hypnos, "Ὕπνος", means 'sleep'.
- The English word hypnosis finds its origin in the name of Hypnos.
