Glauke was a figure appearing in the Greek myths.
Biography[edit | edit source]
She was the daughter of the King of Korinthia, as well as the second wife of Jason. When he began courting her, his first wife, Medea, gave her a poisoned cape that cused Glauke to throw herself into a fountain in Korinth that would later bare her name before slaying her own sons with Jason, Mermeros and Pheres.[1] The Spartan misthios Kassandra later visited the aforementioned fountain during the Peloponnesian War.[2]
