Arid Islands is a name used to refer to the group of Greek islands of situated in the Aegean Sea.

Comprised of the Volcanic Islands, Obsidian Islands, as well as the islands of Kythera and Krete, the islands were named after their biome, which is dry and hot, marked with more or less active volcanoes.^[1]
