The Austrian Rite of the Templar Order were a group of like-minded individuals who swore an allegiance to the Templar ideals, and operated throughout Austria during the French Revolution period of the 18th centuries. During the 18th century, the Austrian Templars supported the moderate faction of the Parisian Rite against François-Thomas Germain and his extremist.
