Styx
Styx is the name of the boundary river between the living world and the underworld, as well as its personification and a Titan in Greek mythology.
Influence
During the 5th century BCE a waterfall in Arkadia's Golden Fields region was named the Waterfall of Styx after the river and the deity.[1]
In 2010s the river Styx as well as Charon were represented in the Animus Black Room version of Clay Kaczmarek's memories.[2]
Trivia
- According to the story, Achilles' famous invulnerability was the consequence of his mother Thetis dipping him into the waters of the river Styx in his childhood.
