Kleon the Everyman (died 422 BCE) was an Athenian general of the Delian League during the Peloponnesian War. He was also the Sage of the Cult of Kosmos, and the superior of Rhexenor. He was the first prominent representative of the commercial class in Athenian politics.

After Perikles died, Kleon became the ruler. He was supported by the people of Athens until Kassandra, Sokrates and other Athenians led a social uprising.
