The Iranian Revolution (also known as the Islamic Revolution or the 1979 Revolution) refers to events involving the overthrow of the Pahlavi dynasty under Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi and its eventual replacement with an Islamic Republic under the Ayatollah Khomeini the leader of the revolution, supported by various leftist and Islamist organizations and Iranian student movements. It started from January 7th, 1978 to February 11t 1979. It started when the Shah changed some rules in Iran and the people did not like the rules. When people did not like the rules, some of them went to the United States of America or other countries to have their freedom.
