Temple of Aphrodite

The Temple of Aphrodite was a temple dedicated to the Greek goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite, located in Aphrodite's Watch on Kythera Island. Near the temple was a smaller shrine as well as an open-air altar. During the Peloponnesian War, the misthios Kassandra visited the temple, where she met the temple's resident High Priestess Eritha[1] and found an Ainigmata Ostraka within.[2]
