Order Elite
| They call me many things: Murderer. Cutthroat. Thief. But you may call me Order Elite. This article is about a subject that lacks an official name and is known only by its nickname, title, or alias. |
The Order Elite (died c. 429 BCE) was a high-ranking member of the Persian Order of the Ancients who lived during the 5th century BCE.
Biography
The Order Elite served under Pactyas, an Order member who led the Order of Hunters branch under the moniker of "the Huntsman". Like the rest of the branch, he was sent to hunt down the Persian fugitive Darius and his son Natakas, eventually tracking them down to Makedonia, Greece.[1] At the same time, the branch's members sought to eliminate individuals descended from the Isu, whom the Order called "Tainted Ones".[1][2]
Around 429 BCE, the Order Elite led an attack on the village of Potidaia in an attempt to draw out one such Tainted One, the misthios Kassandra. When it succeeded, the Elite attempted to corner and eliminate the misthios with his men, though they were easily killed by Kassandra and Natakas.[3]
While the Elite managed to escape the battle with his life, he later met his end near the Strymon river at the hands of Darius, who tracked him down and assassinated him.[4]
