Eden
Eden, or the Garden of Eden, was a place where the people of the First Civilization were known to exist. They were an advanced race of beings, that created humanity, whom they enslaved using technology later known as the Pieces of Eden, in order to build and expand their civilization by using them as a docile workforce. The mountain behind Eden bears a strong resemblance to that of Mount Kilimanjaro in East Africa, which may be where the location of the city resided.
Eden was the place where the first recorded act of human liberty was performed, and was possibly the site of the foundation of the Assassin Order.
Adam and Eve were believed to have been the first humans capable of resisting the power of the artifacts, presumably being devoid of the neuro-transmitter that humanity had built into them by the First Civilization. They were known to have escaped the compound through freerunning, along with an artifact later known as the Apple of Eden. During his time as Animus Subject 16, Clay Kaczmarek obtained a video of the escape of Adam and Eve from Eden, which he split into twenty pieces and left within the Animus' memory core for Desmond Miles to find.
