- "Until you have found a cause worth fighting for, you cannot know what you will sacrifice for it."
- ―Arbaaz Mir, Assassin's Creed Chronicles Announcement Trailer.
Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India is the second video game in the Chronicles series, a trilogy of downloadable installments featuring protagonists from various media of the Assassin's Creed franchise. Chronicles: India released on 12 January 2016 for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC; the PS Vita version became available on 5 April 2016, as part of a trilogy pack with Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China and Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia.
The game follows Arbaaz Mir in Amritsar 1841, in the midst of a war between the Sikh Empire and the East India Company, two years after the events of the graphic novel Assassin's Creed: Brahman. Arbaaz must recover the famed Koh-i-Noor diamond, a powerful Piece of Eden that used to belong to the Assassin Brotherhood from a newly arrived Master Templar. While doing so, he must also protect his Mentor Hamid, and his lover princess Pyara Kaur.
As part of the Assassin's Creed Chronicles series, the game will differ stylistically from most previous entries in the franchise, being set on 2.5D plane like Assassin's Creed II: Discovery.
