The War on Terror is an international military campaign conducted by the United States of America along with its allies in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in the hopes of eradicating al-Qaeda and other Islamic extremist terrorist organizations from the world.
The President of the United States responsible for initiating the War on Terror, George W. Bush, was a puppet of the Templars during his tenure,[1] and sometime during the conflict, the Assassin leader William Miles assigned one of his agents, Emmanuel Barraza, to discover the Templar role behind it. During the mission, Barraza was forced to eliminate a bus full of bomb-rigged children aimed at a diplomatic conference. His resort violated the first tenet of the Creed—to refrain from harming innocents—even though he managed to protect the peace talks. In consequence, he vowed to never again take another human life, adopting a life of absolute pacifism.[2]
