The Peloponnesian War (431 – 404 BCE) was a military conflict fought in ancient Greece between the Delian League and the Peloponnesian League. At the head of these leagues were the main city states of Athens and Sparta respectively, who fought for dominance over the Greek world. ​​​While the conflict engulfed the area, the misthios known as Kassandra would sometimes employ herself and her men in the service of either League.[5]

Siege of Megara

After the Peloponnesian war started Spartan General Nikolaos and his adopted son Stentor besieged Megara. Progress on the siege was slow, and it was slowed down further due to an Athenian Blockade. The mercenary Kassandra destroyed the Athenian Blockade. Stentor tasked Kassandra with killing the leader of Megaris. Kassandra succesfly slew the leader, this action weakened Megaris enough for the Spartans to take it. After the battle Nikolaos wished to see Kassandra. Kassandra, having met the man who threw off Mount Taygetos, grabbed him at debated with herself on wether she should throw Nikolaos off Mount Taygetos. She decided against it.

Sparta andAthens battled at Amphipolis. During the battle Brasidas and Kleon are killed. Sparta won the battle.
