Jupiter, previously known as Tinia, was a member of the First Civilization. After his passing, along with the other First Civilization beings, he continued to influence humanity and many famous buildings and temples have been dedicated to him. As Jupiter appeared as a god to normal humans, that's what they saw him as. The Romans knew him as Jupiter and the Greeks knew him as Zeus. He was mentioned by Minerva, also a member of the First Civilization, during her warning to Desmond Miles.

Trivia

  • Jupiter was labeled with his other name, Tinia, in the artbook of Assassin's Creed: Revelations. He was also referred to as such in the novel of Revelations.
  • Jupiter's helmet resembles an eagle, his representative animal in Greco-Roman religion and a common motif symbolising the Assassins.
  • Jupiter is the Roman King of the Gods and is the equivalent of the Greek God Zeus both in characteristics and personality.
  • His other name, Tinia, is the Etruscan equivalent of Zeus/Jupiter.
