Actually appears in Forgotten Saga this time. Seems to be Hel's HQ within Niflheim itself, inverting its position in Snorri's Edda where it contains Helheim instead

Concept art of Helheim

Helheim, also known as Hel, was one of the Nine Realms. The area fell under the purview of Hel, daughter of Loki and Aletheia.

Mythology

Helheim fell into human folklore as one of the aspects of the afterlife in Norse mythology.[1] It was ruled by the goddess Hel and was a realm of cold where the sick, old and criminals went when they died.[2]

History

During the Isu Era, Helheim was considered as a possible alternative sanctuary for Hel's older brother Fenrir, whose existence was seen as an ill-omen, during his time hidden in the Well of Urðr as a means to escape detection by Odin in Ásgarðr, but she informed their father that Fenrir would not be safe there, forcing Loki to cast the idea aside.[3]
