The Plains of Achilles was the name of the northern region of Skyros, Greece.

The plains were so named for the myths according to which the legendary hero Achilles spent his youth there, hiding among the daughters of King Lykomedes. This was in order for him to avoid his fate in the Trojan War.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War the misthios Kassandra explored the area.[1]
