A view of the Bay of Hades

The Bay of Hades formed the southwestern region of Messenia, Greece. Featuring a varied landscape of a bay, hills and a small marshland, this region was dedicated to the Greek god of the underworld, Hades, and home to Mount Ithome Fort.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited the bay, participating in the Battle of Pylos.[1] She also returned to the region to hunt down the members of the Order of Dominion branch of the Order of the Ancients some time later.[2]
