Medea is a figure appearing in the Greek myths.

When Jason abandoned her and their sons, Mermeros and Pheres, to court the daughter of the King of Korinthia, Glauke, Medea slew the boys.[1] Afterwards, she gave Glauke a poisoned cape causing the woman to throw herself into a fountain that afterwards bore her name.[1]
