The Altar of the Dioskouroi was a shrine dedicated to the mythical twins Kastor and Polydeukes located in the Forest of Eurotas in Lakonia, Greece.
During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited the shrine, finding that the place had been claimed by the Daughters of Artemis. Kassandra proceeded to claim their valuables and find as one of the Ainigmata Ostraka at the altar.[1]
