'''''Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy''''' was a Facebook game which was first made available on 30 September 2010 with the "Italian Wars" memory set.

'''''Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy''''' is a [http://apps.facebook.com/projectlegacy/ Facebook] game, designed as a promotion for ''[[Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood]]''.
In it, players were recruits for [[Abstergo Industries]]' [[Project Legacy]], who relived the [[Genetic memory|genetic memories]] of other individuals through a program known as the DDS, or Data Dump Scanner, an [[Animus]] software patch that could allow a person to relive the memories of someone who was not their ancestor.

Players are recruits for [[Abstergo Industries]] who relive the genetic memories of other individuals, who so far seem all to be [[Assassins]]. There are four chapters in the "Italian Wars" pack: Chapter 1 focuses on [[Bartolomeo d'Alviano]] during the [[Battle of Agnadello]], Chapter 2 focuses on [[Francesco Vecellio]] on a mission to kill a target, Chapter 3 focuses on [[Mario Auditore]] and the protection of [[Monteriggioni]] and Chapter 4 focuses on [[Perotto Calderon]]. The "Rome" pack was released on November 15, 2010. There are four chapters in the "Rome" pack as well. Chapter 1 focuses on the memories of Fiora Cavazza.
In all, there were three memory sets available: "[[Italy|Italian]] Wars", "[[Rome]]" (released 15 November 2010) and "Holidays" (released 22 December 2010). The fourth memory set, Divine Science ("released" 4 July 2011), was made available outside of the DDS by [[Erudito]], though the DDS interface still mentioned that the pack was "coming soon."

It has been said that ''Project Legacy'' and ''Brotherhood'' will be able to connect with one another, with ''Project Legacy'''s Exp points and Florins being able to be used to unlock content in ''Brotherhood''. Finding and combining the Auditore Trail Mnemonic Set can be used to unlock ''Brotherhood'' content. One assumes that the Achievements for ''Project Legacy'' will also help unlock content as well. A developer's post on the Ubisoft UK Assassin's Creed board implies that Uplay points can be unlocked through ''Project Legacy'', which would presumably allow players to unlock all the Uplay unlocks in ''Brotherhood'', as ''Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood'' has a greater number of unlocks than it has in-game point rewards.

For the Achievements that can be gained in-game, refer to ''[[Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy Achievements]]''.

==Italian Wars - Chapters 1 through 4==
: ''Main Article: [[Chapter 1 - Bartolomeo d'Alviano]]''
Welcome to the DDS Program. Please remain still while we synchronize your first assignment. In 1509 CE, the [[Battle of Agnadello]] dealt a devastating blow to the Venetian army. You will relive this battle through the eyes and mind of one of its captains, [[Bartolomeo d'Alviano]]. Please report any anomalies you encounter.
: ''Main Article: [[Chapter 2 - Francesco Vecellio]]''
You may feel mild discomfort during synchronization. This is normal. It is important to maintain your concentration. History places [[Niccolò di Pitigliano]] death in Lonigo, Italy in the year 1510 CE. Our data supports this fact. But the circumstances of his death require further investigation. Please take notes and report your findings.
: ''Main Article: [[Chapter 3 - Mario Auditore]]''
We are now synchronizing the DDS. For your safety, please report any nosebleeds, vertigo, nausea, or hallucinations. Land-hungry [[Florence]] sought possession of the walled city of [[Monteriggioni]], but it held strong for years under the guidance of the Auditore family. You will dissect the memories of [[Mario Auditore]] who struggled to keep his city safe through the latter half of the 15th century.
: ''Main Article: [[Chapter 4 - Perotto Calderon]]''
While we prepare to synchronize, please listen to the following questions. Be sure to report any difficulties you have answering. What is your name? Where do you live? What year is it? We have a unique window into the lives and secrets of the infamous [[House of Borgia|Borgia]] family. The DDS has recovered the memories of one of their trusted couriers, [[Perotto Calderon]] . Your task is to find out exactly what he discovered.

In ''[[Assassin's Creed: Revelations]]'', an [[Abstergo Files|Abstergo dossier]] stated that Project Legacy was currently on hold, due to security concerns. On 15 May 2013, Facebook removed the game because it no longer complied with their Terms of Service for Facebook applications, as it had not been updated recently.

==Project Legacy Florins and XP Farming Guide==
===Chapter 4 – Frater V.O.V.===
This guide breaks down the most efficient/profitable quests if you are ever in need of florins or xp. To be considered, the quests cannot require consumables unless these can be bought at a cheap cost with a decent net gain. These calculations are based on an Intrigue skill of 62 so especially for a lot of the money losing or unprofitable quests i.e. the crafting based ones, These figures are only to be used as a rough guide unless you are around the same level or higher since those quests only become profitable once the applicable skill(s) are raised adequately. The best missions to farm are bolded below, and the rest are listed alternatives that are also decent depending on what's available to you and how many AP's you have at the time. ''Guide complete up to Chapter 3.''

**'''Cruel Efficiency''': 10 AP, 16xp 456 florins 1.6 xpr, 28.5 fpr.
*Chapter 3, Cleaning House, '''Cornered''': 15 AP 32xp, 850 florins 2.13 xpr 56.6 fpr.

===Making and Saving Money from Crafting===
Finding and combining the "Auditore Trail" mnemonic set would unlock ''Brotherhood'' content, in the form of the Venetian and Medici capes, and buying certain landmarks within both ''Project Legacy'' and ''Brotherhood'' (such as the [[Colosseum]]) would net florins in both games.
====Missions Made Easier/More Profitable by Crafting====
If you have excess materials and can craft the expensive requirements for these missions, then you can make a LOT more bang for your AP buck than the other recommended farming missions, assuming you already have materials. These can save you a lot of AP to get ahead in missions once you have the money you need, but otherwise if you are buying the requirements each time, the net xp and florin gain rates are not impressive. Take advantage of these missions if you can.
*Chapter 2 On The Hunt, '''Character Assassination''': 4 AP 6xp 712 florins (req expensive gift 212 florins net if not) 1.5 apr '''178 fpr'''
*Chapter 2, Bloodwork, '''Boxing In''': 5Ap 7xp ( -22 florins net) 768 florins otherwise, '''153.6 fpr'''

====An Overview of Crafting Chains====
===Unlockables in ''Brotherhood''===
A player can make or save money through the use of crafting chains. A <u>crafting chain</u> is a group of craftings, in which the product of one crafting is either the final product or an ingredient in another, the product of which is, in turn, either the final product or an ingredient in another crafting, etc. Crafting chains are often done for the purpose of making money by selling the final product. In an ideal crafting chain, all of the ingredients can be purchased for a far lower price than the final product can be sold for, leading to large profit margins. Crafting chains can also be used to obtain otherwise expensive or difficult-to-acquire mission requirement items from far cheaper or more easily obtained ingredients. The profit/savings margin of a crafting chain is obviously important, but there are other considerations as well. For example, whether a crafting chain whose ingredients, some or all of which, can only be obtained as chance items from missions or a crafting chain whose ingredients, some or all of which, can be obtained through purchase, is easier to complete, depending upon the player's AP's and whether or not they have sufficient florins or mission requirements, and whether or not to purchase the ingredients for a crafting chain or try to obtain them as chance items from the appropriate mission, if they can be acquired either way. The number of craftings a crafting chain entails and how they ar sequenced is another important consideration; a crafting chain that is more lucrative but requires more craftings or whose craftings are sequenced unfavorably (i.e., several craftings in the crafting chain cannot be performed at the same time, but rather must follow one another chronologically because the products of some are the ingredients of other) may not be worth the extra time and effort as compared to a crafting chain requiring less or more suitably sequenced (many craftings can be performed at one time) craftings.

====Determining a Crafting Chain's Profit or Savings Margin Algebraically====
==Uplay==
You can determine a crafting chain's profit margin by modeling it algebraically, substituting values in for the variables, and solving. The basic algebraic model of the profit of a crafting chain is the following:
As of 8 December 2010, Uplay actions and rewards became available for ''Project Legacy''.

<math>T=SF(1+I/100)-(C1M1+C2M2+C3M3)</math> where T represents the profit, S represents the base selling price of the final product, <math>F</math> represents the number of the final product obtained, and <math>I</math> represents the average Intrigue stat of the player over the time of the sale of all of ookie.net/__cb28291/common/skins/common/blank.gif" type="ext" />'s and 's represent the purchasing price of and number of, respectively, each material, or, in other words, ingredient, purchased and used in the crafting chain. A player will need to use more or less <math>C</math>'s and <math>M</math>'s (with the appropriate subscripts) for crafting chains with more or fewer purchased ingredients than 3, although few require more than 3 purchased ingredients. Here is an explanation of each part of the right side of the equation:
The Uplay connectivity of ''Project Legacy'' would presumably allow players to avail more of the Uplay rewards in ''Brotherhood'', as ''Brotherhood'' had a greater number of rewards than it had in-game Units to be earned. However, there were an equal amount of points for rewards and actions for ''Project Legacy''; though the points could still have been spent on rewards in ''Brotherhood'' instead, if one chose to.
*<math>SF(1+I/100)</math>: the income of the crafting chain. <math>SF</math> determines the base selling price of the entire stock of the final product produced, which, multiplied by <math>(1+I/100)</math>, (the modifier placed on the base selling price of any sold item by the player's average Intrigue stat over the time of the sale of all of the item), determines the final selling price of the entire stock of the final product, aka, the income of the crafting chain.
*<math>(C1M1+C2M2+C3M3)</math>: the cost of the crafting chain. The cost of each ingredient, multiplied by the number of it used, gives the cost of the stock of each ingredient purchased. Added together, they equal the entire cost of the crafting chain.
One crafting chain with a large profit margin, particularly useful in the 3rd memory sequence, starts with coal and ends with poisoned daggers. The cheapest/most lucrative way to complete this crafting chain is to extract pyrite from coal, combine the pyrite with saltpeter to get vitriol, and then combine the vitriol with unpoisoned daggers to get poisoned daggers. It will be used here as an example of how to algebraically model, and subsequently determine, the profit of a crafting chain.

Here is the algebraic model of the profit of the crafting chain:
===Actions===
<math>T=750C1PVP2(1+I/100)-(150C+100CP+200CP1V)</math>, where <math>C</math> represents the number of coals used, <math>P1</math> represents the average number of doses of pyrite obtained per extraction from coal (can be 1 to 2), <math>V</math> represents the average number of doses of vitriol produced per combination of pyrite and saltpeter (can be 1 to 2), and <math>P2</math> represents the average number of poisoned daggers produced per combination of vitriol and a dagger (can be 1 to 2). Here is an explanation of each part of the right side of the equation:

|[[File:PL Reward Wallpaper.jpg]]
*<math>200CP1V</math>: 200 is the cost of an unpoisoned dagger, which, multplied by <math>CP1V</math> (the number of doses of vitriol produced, giving the number of unpoisoned daggers needed to use up all the vitriol produced), gives the cost of the stock of unpoisoned daggers used.
|''Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy'' Artwork
Here is a demonstration of how to solve the equation, assuming the hypothetical player started with 1 coal, obtained an average of 2 products at each step of the crafting chain, and had an average Intrigue stat of 30 over the time of the sale of all of the poisoned daggers produced.

*Performing addition and subtraction inside the parentheses (note that 1,150 is the cost of the crafting chain): <math>T=750(1)(2)(2)(2)(1.3)-1,150</math>
|Access the Abstergo System Reboot item on the Lockbox page. Good for 10 full AP regenerations.
*Performing multiplication and division (note that 7,800 is the income of the crafting chain): <math>T=7,800-1,150</math>
|10U
*Performing addition and subtraction: <math>T=6,650</math>
So the player's profit from the crafting chain is 6,650.

====Profitable Crafting Chains and their Algebraic Models====
Memorize the expression (1+I/100). You will see it in the algebraic model of every selling crafting chain, because it represents the modifier placed on the price of any sold item by a player's Intrigue stat.

*Coal to Matchlock Rifle:
**Flowchart: Coal->Pyrite, Pyrite+Olive (wood)+Tin+Copper->Matchlock Rifle.

The Coal to Matchlock Rifle chain is extremely profitable, with a base price of 7500, but requires olives, tin and copper, which cannot be purchased. These are fairly easy to get from the Digging In and Lumbering missions.

After completing surveys, Abstergo or a mysterious figure named [[Erudito]] may send you e-mails in reaction to your answers. These are currently known e-mails:

===Entry Survey===
From: Abstergo Industries

Subject: Your answer to "HISTORY"

In the quiz, we stated: "History is accurate."<br/ />
You responded: "Historians pride themselves on unbiased accuracy."

Certainly many historians strive for accuracy, but how can we put faith in documents written before we were born? How can we trust that personal opinion and prejudice has been removed from the material? This is why you are so important to our project. By reliving actual memories, you will help us uncover the truth. Together, our team will rewrite history.

From: Abstergo Industries

Subject: Your answer to "HISTORY"

In the quiz, we stated: "History is accurate."<br/ />
You responded: "History is only as accurate as the author of the book."

What if you could meet the author of the book? Observe a battle from either side? This is why you are so important to our project. By reliving actual memories, you will help us uncover the truth. Together, our team will rewrite history.

Subject: Your answer to "HISTORY"

In the quiz, we stated: "History is accurate."<br/ />
You responded: "We should worry about the future."

No doubt you've heard George Santayana's legendary quote - "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." We believe that reliving the past and uncovering the truth will help us create a better future. Together, our team will experience new perspectives within historical events. Together, we will rewrite history.

===After Chapter 1===
From: Erudito

Subject: You need to start playing it safe

Careful... I'm all for sticking it to Abstergo, but open defiance will get you cut off.

From: Erudito

Subject: Yes, there are wrong answers

You offered Abstergo a list of your ancestors? I'd avoid sending them that list, if I were you. Haven't you wondered where they farm memories for the DDS?

(Note: This message is sent when responding to the statement "I have Italian ancestors." by offering Abstergo a list of your documented genealogy.)

From: Abstergo Industries

Subject: Your answer to "ANCESTRY"

In the quiz, we stated: "I have Italian ancestors."<br/ />
You responded: "I have never researched my genealogy."

We can help you. If you visit the Abstergo offices in your area, our colleagues will provide you with a quick and relatively painless genetic test. As we are currently proving, each person contains valuable knowledge passed along through genetic memory. Perhaps you even hold within you answers to some of history's greatest mysteries.

From: Abstergo Industries Subject: Your answer to "ANCESTRY"

In the quiz, we stated: "I have Italian ancestors."<br/ />
You responded: "Not that I know of."

Perhaps it's something you should research. As we are currently proving, each person contains valuable knowledge passed along through genetic memory. Perhaps you even hold within you answers to some of history's greatest mysteries.

===After Chapter 2===
From: Abstergo Industries

Subject: Your answer to "INFLUENCE"

In the quiz, we stated: "People are easily manipulated."<br/ />
You responded: "History has proven that statement time and again."

Correct. As you explore the DDS, you will confirm it to be a constant historical truth. Understanding this offers a more realistic view of the world today. Why does "manipulate" need to have such a negative connotation? Why can't the followers follow the great into greatness?

From: Erudito

Subject: You'd be surprised...

Are you sure you're not being manipulated? None of us are free from the influence of others. You just need to make sure you're listening to the right ones.

(Note: This is a response to an answer to the "INFLUENCE" question obtained when you answer that if they suspect you of being easily manipulated, then they are wrong.)

From: Erudito

Subject: You won't impress them

You say you generally get what you want from people. That's a confident statement, almost a challenge. You may believe Abstergo is looking for such confidence. No. They're looking for servants.

(Note: This message is sent when responding to the "INFLUENCE" question by saying that you generally get what you want from people.)

From: Erudito

Subject: Well played?

Are you really a poor manipulator or did you just answer that way to deceive Abstergo? Either way, you're flying below the radar, which is a good thing.

(Note: This is a response to an answer to the "INFLUENCE" question, if you say you're not good at manipulating people.)

===After Chapter 3===
From: Erudito

Subject: Hello?

Seriously? You asked them which side to take? Either you're making fun of them (not wise) or they owe you an "Abstergo's #1 Buttkisser" mug for your desk.

(Note: This message is received after answering the "EMPATHY" question with "Whose side do you want me to take?")

From: Abstergo Industries

Subject: Your answer to "EMPATHY"

In the quiz, we stated: "You find yourself taking the side of the subject in each memory."<br/ />
You responded: "It depends on the subject."

It's only natural you'd empathize with the subjects behind the memories and those with a stronger synch will be harder to resist. You're viewing the events through one perspective, one that is often convinced it is doing the right thing. I wonder how you would feel if we sent you the memories of that same subject's rival for review.

From: Abstergo Industries

Subject: Your answer to "EMPATHY"

In the quiz, we stated: "You find yourself taking the side of the subject in each memory."<br/ />
You responded: "It's hard to see both sides of the story."

An astute observation. It's rare to find a memory where the subject cannot wholeheartedly justify his actions. DDS users are easily influenced by the induced fugue state, but your clear vision is impressive.

From: Abstergo Industries

Subject: Your answer to "EMPATHY"

In the quiz, we stated: "You find yourself taking the side of the subject in each memory."<br/ />
You responded: "No. I'm simply observing their actions. I don't empathize."

It's interesting that you do not feel any empathy during your memory reviews. Your file tells us you passed our test criteria to ensure a solid link with the DDS, so the synchronization should be making an impact. I will forward your report to our engineers to see if we can increase the signal strength.

===After Chapter 4===
From: Erudito

Subject: No Subject

<nowiki>:)</nowiki>

(Note: This message is received after answering the survey question "What do you know about Erudito?" with "Erudito?". Erudito is happy that you pretended not to know about him.)

From: Abstergo Industries

Subject: Your answer to "INTRUDER"

In the quiz, we asked: "What do you know about Erudito?"<br/ />
You responded: "He seems to know an awful lot about your subject matter."

First, we must stress the dangers of associating with outside connections that force their way into the DDS system. Not only do you risk termination of your contract with us, but you may force us to pursue legal options. You have been a tremendous asset to our program, but you must understand that contact with this "Erudito" user will not be tolerated.

From: Abstergo Industries

Subject: Your answer to "INTRUDER"

In the quiz, we asked: "What do you know about Erudito?"<br/ />
You responded: "You can follow up through email. I am willing to submit a full report if you request one."

Thank you for your offer to file a report on "Erudito." Please be thorough. If we can track his patterns, we can begin to block his access to the DDS system and continue our work without further interruptions.

From Erudito

Subject: Someone's been naughty...

You reported me? That stings. Not that it really matters... I am miles ahead of these goons. I'm going to have to work harder to open your eyes, aren't I?

(Note: This message is received after answering the survey question "What do you know about Erudito?" with "I've already filed a full report on him.")

‎Entering '''7D05C12C''' under Special Code will give you an extra item in your inventory called Erudito's Network, with the description "Work for Abstergo, report to us." It can't be bought or sold, and at random intervals, it will cause Erudito to "assist" you with either an experience boost, a florin boost, an increased chance for chance items, or an increased chance for a mnemonic.
Some users have experienced an issue with the Erudito assisted florin gain, wherein they receive a slight florin loss instead; however, this issue seems to be very uncommon.

Latest revision as of 01:55, 11 May 2026

Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy was a Facebook game which was first made available on 30 September 2010 with the "Italian Wars" memory set.

In it, players were recruits for Abstergo Industries' Project Legacy, who relived the genetic memories of other individuals through a program known as the DDS, or Data Dump Scanner, an Animus software patch that could allow a person to relive the memories of someone who was not their ancestor.

In all, there were three memory sets available: "Italian Wars", "Rome" (released 15 November 2010) and "Holidays" (released 22 December 2010). The fourth memory set, Divine Science ("released" 4 July 2011), was made available outside of the DDS by Erudito, though the DDS interface still mentioned that the pack was "coming soon."

In Assassin's Creed: Revelations, an Abstergo dossier stated that Project Legacy was currently on hold, due to security concerns. On 15 May 2013, Facebook removed the game because it no longer complied with their Terms of Service for Facebook applications, as it had not been updated recently.

Italian Wars[edit | edit source]

Chapter 1 – Bartolomeo d'Alviano[edit | edit source]

Main article: Chapter 1 – Bartolomeo d'Alviano

Welcome to the DDS Program. Please remain still while we synchronize your first assignment.

In 1509 CE, the Battle of Agnadello dealt a devastating blow to the Venetian army. You will relive this battle through the eyes and mind of one of its captains, Bartolomeo d'Alviano. Please report any anomalies you encounter.

Chapter 2 – Francesco Vecellio[edit | edit source]

Main article: Chapter 2 – Francesco Vecellio

You may feel mild discomfort during synchronization. This is normal. It is important to maintain your concentration.

History places Niccolò di Pitigliano's death in Lonigo, Italy in the year 1510 CE. Our data supports this fact. But the circumstances of his death require further investigation. Please take notes and report your findings.

Chapter 3 – Mario Auditore[edit | edit source]

Main article: Chapter 3 – Mario Auditore

We are now synchronizing the DDS. For your safety, please report any nosebleeds, vertigo, nausea, or hallucinations.

Land-hungry Florence sought possession of the walled city of Monteriggioni, but it held strong for years under the guidance of the Auditore family. You will dissect the memories of Mario Auditore, who struggled to keep his city safe through the latter half of the 15th century.

Chapter 4 – Perotto Calderon[edit | edit source]

Main article: Chapter 4 – Perotto Calderon

While we prepare to synchronize, please listen to the following questions. Be sure to report any difficulties you have answering. What is your name? Where do you live? What year is it?

We have a unique window into the lives and secrets of the infamous Borgia family. The DDS has recovered the memories of one of their trusted couriers, Perotto Calderon. Your task is to find out exactly what he discovered.

Rome[edit | edit source]

Chapter 1 – Fiora Cavazza[edit | edit source]

Main article: Chapter 1 – Fiora Cavazza

Please wait a moment while we synchronize the DDS. You may find yourself daydreaming more often and sleeping less. This is a normal side effect of the program.

Many of Rome's biggest names spent their leisure time indulging in its many brothels. They were ideal information hubs for those eager to scale the social ladder. Fiora Cavazza was one such courtesan. Investigate her contacts; find out who she knew, and what she did with that knowledge.

Chapter 2 – Giovanni Borgia[edit | edit source]

Main article: Chapter 2 – Giovanni Borgia

The DDS is going to try to synchronize you with the memories of a child. This may be confusing for you at first, as you will lose your ability to convey complex thought, but your mind should quickly adapt.

The truth behind the real parents of Giovanni Borgia, the "Child of Rome," has long baffled historians. But even more perplexing is Giovanni's insignificant life that followed. How does one stand right in the center of the hurricane and remain untouched? Your task is to learn what history has hidden from us.

Chapter 3 – Francesco Vecellio[edit | edit source]

Main article: Chapter 3 – Francesco Vecellio

Now synching the DDS system. We're going to take a moment to test your emotional range. Please focus on a fond memory. Good. Now focus on a painful memory. Perfect.

Just prior to the death of Pope Alexander VI, Cesare Borgia began to lose his grip on Rome. Though you won't find any mention of it in the history books, we suspect a powerful underground movement worked to overthrow the corrupt dynasty. See what you can learn.

Chapter 4 – Giovanni Borgia[edit | edit source]

Main article: Chapter 4 – Giovanni Borgia

Preparing to synchronize. Note that we are experiencing a small system glitch that may cause a subtle ringing in your ears. It should pass as you enter the memory.

The new world was plundered in the 15th century. Explorers became conquerors.
La Noche Triste, or the Night of Sorrows, was a bloody uprising between the Aztecs and the Spanish conquistadors. Hernán Cortés himself was driven from Tenochtitlan. Firsthand reports of the massacre present opposing perspectives. Find the truth.

Holidays[edit | edit source]

Unlike other memory sets, the memories within the "Holidays" chapter featured different protagonists, though all were centered around events during a single day across history (i.e., Christmas Day).

Chapter 1 – Ghosts of Christmas Past[edit | edit source]

Chapter 2 – DATA-DUMP S00.S02[edit | edit source]

Main article: Chapter 2 – DATA-DUMP S00.S02

Divine Science[edit | edit source]

This pack was released outside of the Project Legacy DDS by Erudito, as part of Abstergo Industries' secure files.[1]

Chapter 1 – Maria Amiel[edit | edit source]

Main article: Chapter 1 – Maria Amiel

Please wait while we synchronize the DDS. Close your eyes and try to relax. Inhale deeply, exhale. Inhale, again exhale. That's it.

The Renaissance. As early as 14th century, Italian scholars began to re-examine ancient classical lore, triggering revitalization of knowledge throughout Europe. You will explore the memories of one of the Paracelsus' assistants, Maria Amiel. Please report your findings.

Chapter 2 – Kyros of Zarax[edit | edit source]

Main article: Chapter 2 – Kyros of Zarax

The DDS is attempting to synchronize millennia old memories. Because the memories you'll explore are ancient, you may feel disoriented, even confused. You may also find it hard to discern reality from fiction. This is normal, please remain calm.

Following the events we unlocked in the last sequence, you will now explore the origins of the Hermeticists' tradition. You will follow the exploits of Pythagoras of Samos, the Greek mathematician and scholar. You are one of his protégés, Kyros of Zarax.

Chapter 3 – Elizabeth Jane Weston[edit | edit source]

Main article: Chapter 3 – Elizabeth Jane Weston

We're attempting to synchronize the DDS system. This will only take a moment. We are almost there. The DDS is now in sync. Thank you for your patience. We hope you'll enjoy your experience.

Rudolf II invited many notable figures to his court, making Prague the center of European culture. Among them were Englishmen Edward Kelley and his step-daughter Elizabeth Jane Weston. Observe her and report any alleged collusion.

Chapter 4 – Frater V.O.V.[edit | edit source]

Main article: Chapter 4 – Frater V.O.V.

The DDS will synchronize with the memories of an aged man. You may feel you have less energy, poor hearing and eye sight and even experience wobbly legs. This is normal, if you feel pain in your left arm however, please stop and consult your physician.

The Victorian era is characterized by growth, prosperity, political reform and major technological and scientific progress. Interest in the occult also increased during this period. You are about to infiltrate the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.

Features[edit | edit source]

Promotional codes[edit | edit source]

Promotional code screen

‎Entering 7D05C12C under the Special Code section would reward the item "Erudito's Network" to the Lockbox, which was marked with the description "Work for Abstergo, report to us." It could not be bought or sold, and at random intervals, it would cause Erudito to "assist" with either an experience boost, a florin boost, an increased chance for chance items, an increased chance for mnemonics, or an increased item output during crafting.

By entering VGVTC8GX, the Abstergo Insider Badge was granted, with the description "Work those connections." The Insider Badge increased chances of winning in Skirmishes.

Linking[edit | edit source]

After linking Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood with a Uplay account, Assassin recruits could be trained from within Project Legacy, and doing so would also unlock certain events within Project Legacy itself.

Finding and combining the "Auditore Trail" mnemonic set would unlock Brotherhood content, in the form of the Venetian and Medici capes, and buying certain landmarks within both Project Legacy and Brotherhood (such as the Colosseum) would net florins in both games.

Unlockables in Brotherhood[edit | edit source]

Name How to obtain
Medici Cape Complete the "Auditore Trail" mnemonic set.
Venetian Cape Complete the "Auditore Trail" mnemonic set.

Uplay[edit | edit source]

As of 8 December 2010, Uplay actions and rewards became available for Project Legacy.

The Uplay connectivity of Project Legacy would presumably allow players to avail more of the Uplay rewards in Brotherhood, as Brotherhood had a greater number of rewards than it had in-game Units to be earned. However, there were an equal amount of points for rewards and actions for Project Legacy; though the points could still have been spent on rewards in Brotherhood instead, if one chose to.

Update[edit | edit source]

Screenshot of the DDS 2.0

In June 2011, Ubisoft stated that the Divine Science memory set and the DDS 2.0 would be released in the forthcoming weeks. It was suspected that this would be released alongside Assassin's Creed: Revelations, as the Rome set was alongside Brotherhood. The improvements of the new system were intended to be:

  • No longer needing to click through 500+ SP when reassigning.
  • Crafting to allow for multiple concurrent crafts of the same item.
  • Achievements should unlock instantly.
  • "Collect All" to collect income from all territories, across all packs.
  • Functional navigation across packs.
  • Inclusion of a Mastery level system.

In the Assassin's Creed Encyclopedia and Assassin's Creed: Revelations, it stated that "Due to security concerns, Project Legacy has been put on hold." The reason behind these security concerns was the mysterious disappearance of Anson Peake, the Manager of Project Legacy.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, a still image from Project Legacy, set to the memory sequence for Mario Auditore, could be seen on Lucy Stillman's computer in the Sanctuary.
  • Almost all of the counterparts for the Animi Avatars from Brotherhood featured in Project Legacy memories, with several during Fiora Cavazza's memories and one from Francesco Vecellio's.
