Narkissos the Babbler was a mercenary who operated in Greece during the Peloponnesian War.
Like other mercenaries, Narkissos liked to tell tales about his adventures, of course he was more like one of those who talked more than they killed. In spite of this, about half of the ports in the Aegean Sea had heard of him.
During the war, Narkissos crossed paths with the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who accepted a bounty contract on him.[1]
