Due to her love of mathematics, Nanno's parents believed that she would someday make a career in working at an [[Athens|Athenian]] treasury.  Unfortunatly, for them, she instead used her arithmetic for the number of those she killed.  During her travels, she used her personal abacus to keep track of every kill she made.

Nanno the Abakos

Nanno the Abakos was an Athenian mercenary who operated in Greece during the Peloponnesian War.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Born in the city-state of Athens, Nanno had an interest and love for mathematics, so much so that her parents predicted she would pursue a career in working at a treasury in the city. However, she decided to forge a career out of being a mercenary, using her knowledge of mathematics to count and keep track of her kills on her personal abacus during her travels.[1]

During the war, Nanno ran into the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who accepted a bounty contract on her.[2]
