The entrance into the cave

The Myson Cave was a cave located within Pandora's Cove in Malis, Greece. The cave appeared to be a natural formation, with a mere crack serving as its entrance.

During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra found the cave's entrance and explored the place, finding a blacksmith within the depths of the cave, as well as some curious architecture.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The name of Myson cave, a location in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, is a reference to Myson of Chenae, a 6th century BCE man who Plato counted among the Seven Sages of Greece. Others in that group were Thales of Miletus, Pittacus of Mytilene, Bias of Priene, Solon of Athens, Chilon of Sparta, and either Cleobulus, Periander of Korinth, or Anacharsis the Scythian.
