The Leader House was the dwelling of the king of the Petrified Islands in Mytilene, Lesbos, Greece during the 5th century BCE.
History[edit | edit source]
During the Peloponnesian War, the house served as the residence of the acting king Kodros, who was also a member of the branch of the Cult of Kosmos which had sided with the Delian League.[1] At some point Kodros invited Titos, a champion of the Arena in Pephka, to his home.[2]
After learning of Kodros' allegiance to Kosmos, the Spartan misthios Kassandra infiltrated the place and slew Kodros. She also burned supplies and claimed the valuables within the house.[1] However, the Leader of the Petrified Islands was a position the Cult of Kosmos held firmly in its hands, and whoever followed Kodros also inherited a place in the Cult, as Kassandra discovered while doing as Thais of Chios asked, and killing the leader.[3]
The leader house in Mytilene was also where the drugs of the healer Qamra were kept.[4]
