Timycha was a master lyre maker who operated in the Port of Kreusis in Boeotia, Greece during the Peloponnesian War.

At some point during the war, Timycha met and gained the acquaintance of the famed lyric poet Praxilla, who would be in town for the yearly poet festival. On one occasion, Timycha was approached by Praxilla who, accompanied by the misthios Kassandra, requested her help in reparing her treasured lyre that had been damaged. Kassandra helped Timycha recover the various materials needed, allowing her to repair Praxilla's lyre prior to her performance for the festival.[1]
