The Theban Necropolis is a great cemetery situated on the west bank of the Nile, opposite Thebes in Upper Egypt. It was home to the tombs of pharaohs from the New Kingdom period and nobles of Egypt, most notably the Valley of the Kings and the Necropolis of the Nobles.[1]
