Al-Ahmar Mountain is a sandstone necropolis in Hegra, north of the Tomb of Hayyan ibn Kuza. In the 860s, it was occupied by a group of robbers that terrorized the Al-Ula region.

History[edit | edit source]

In response to a note found on a dead body, Basim ibn Ishaq infiltrated the camp and freed the animals kept in capitivity by the robbers, protecting them from further injuries.[1] At the site, Basim also recovered a clue to one of the robbers' hidden caches.[2]
