The Abandoned House was a boarded-up former home of Dianthe and Kyra in Mykonos City on Mykonos, Greece.

In Kyra's youth, it was the only home she knew. Therein she crafted dolls and played with them, marking them with 'M' for mater, 'K' for Kyra and 'P' for pater. At times, Dianthe and Kyra visited the house of Kyra's father, Podarkes. Though Podarkes paid Dianthe to keep quiet about his daughter, Dianthe wanted him to acknowledge his offspring, and brought the doll marked with 'P' to him. Podarkes told her to stop, and when she didn't, he had his servant, Otonia, lead Athenian soldiers to Dianthe's house.[1]

The soldiers slew Dianthe and attempted to kill Kyra as well, but thanks to Otonia, Kyra managed to escape. She never returned there. Dianthe was left in their house, an Athenian spear tip lodged in her ribs. The house was boarded up, abandoned, forgotten, until the Spartan misthios Kassandra was led there by Otonia.[1]
