Aspasia (c. 470 BCE – c. 400 BCE) was an immigrant from Athens who was the lover and partner of the statesman Pericles.

A brilliant thinker and speaker, Aspasia was an exceedingly beautiful woman who later became a hetaerae, hosting parties and events for the great thinkers, artists and politicians of her time.
