The Master

The Master (died 431 BCE) was a member of the Cult of Kosmos, operating under the Eyes of Kosmos branch in Attika, Greece, during the 5th century BCE.

He was eventually hunted down and killed by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.

Biography

Sometime in 431 BCE, during the Peloponnesian War, The Master was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra. She wanted him to free one of his slaves, Phaidon. The Master then revealed his Cult allegiance to Kassandra, even though he knew she was the Eagle Bearer. He then told her that if he died, his slave will never be free. However, if she killed a woman for him, he would free the slave. After Kassandra made her choice she came back and killed him.[1]

Personality and characteristics

The man known as 'The Master' had no such thing as a moral compass, not knowing right from wrong. He did not oversee his quarry or slave trade for financial wealth, instead doing it as a way to gather information for the Cult. The Master was also open about his involvement with the Cult, telling Kassandra of his affiliation despite knowing who she was.[2]
