Tantalos, also known as Tantalus, was an individual in Greek mythology. He was the son of Zeus and the nymph Plouto.

Biography

Mythology

Tantalos was famous for his eternal punishment in Tartaros. Fruit on braches of a tree in the middle of a pond were always just out of reach. When he would bend over to drink water, the water would disappear.[1]

Simulation

The tree he was to stay beneath could also be found in Aletheia's simulatation of Tartaros, protecting the solution to one of the Ainigmata Ostraka.[1]
