The Sphinx was an eagle-lion-snake-human hybrid beast created by the Isu as part of their Olympos Project. The creature was trapped as a statue in ruins near Lake Kopais in Boeotia, Greece.

At some point during the late-5th century BCE, using a key that was divided in two the Spartan misthios Kassandra awakened the Sphinx, and outwitted the creature in a game of riddles. After the creature collapsed, dead, Kassandra seized the relic that seemingly gave the creature life.[1]
