The Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia was a temple dedicated to the goddess of wisdom Athena in Phokis, Greece.

Around 431 BCE, the misthios Kassandra explored the place, finding one of the Ainigmata Ostraka within.[1]

Trivia

  • πρόναιᾰ (prónaia) is Greek for 'in advance, before', the sense of the name of the sanctuary being 'Athena before the Temple (of Apollo)'.
