The Pythia was the title given to the high priestess of the Temple of Apollo in the Sanctuary of Delphi, otherwise known as the Oracle of Delphi.

By the time of the Peloponnesian War, the Pythia, the present as well as a number of the former ones, had been corrupted by the Cult of Kosmos. The Cult had used the Oracle to spread false prophecies, ones that would benefit the Cult and its allies, for some time.^[1]
