Phaistos Village was a village situated on the Greek island of Crete. Formerly a city-state, the city was largely destroyed by the neighbouring city, Gortyn, which coveted the former's territory. It was also known for having the second largest palace on the island, after the Knossos Palace.
By the 5th century BCE, little of the city remains and during the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios, Kassandra, passed by the village.
